It's important to cook the scallops on a very hot griddle so that they caramelise and don't stew.

Hello everyone! Lots of delicious things going on this month.
Following my cruise down the Danube for Getaway, I’ve just finished filming a new TV show called Anna Gare’s Cab Fare, going to air on Channel Nine on October 13. In each episode I jump into a cab and get the driver’s life-story - and a recipe. I then cook up a feast and take it to their home to meet and feed the family. I’ve been collecting recipes from cab drivers for years, and have always thought it would make a great cooking show, so be sure to tune in.
I’m now back home in country WA, and have just got back from the Dowerin Field Days, where I cooked loads of fabulous, local produce in front of thousands. It was wonderful to meet so many farmers and country folk, who grow and produce amazing West Australian food. I also hosted the Heart of WA Farmers’ dinner, indulging in some of the best ingredients our State has to offer.

I’ve cooked up drama-free midweek meals and one-pot wonders for nights when you just can’t face a sink full of dishes. Crowd pleasing salads to share and simple sides that will turn an ordinary dish into a delicious triumph.
There are lots of soups and salads as mains….so there will be plenty of room for dessert! I have written two dessert chapters, one is heavenly and health conscious for our sensible selves and the other, unapologetically sinful and appropriately naughty.
